Kindergarten 1
Program Outline
In KG 1, we focus on fostering social, physical, and emotional development. Through prewriting activities, children are introduced to key academic subjects such as Jolly Phonics and foundational numeracy skills. This stage also marks an important time for children as they begin to form social connections and become more comfortable interacting with new peers. Our program helps them build confidence in both their academic and social environments, setting the stage for a smooth transition to future learning.
What Your Child Will Learn
Language Development
KG1 focuses on phonics, vocabulary building, and fostering early reading skills. Children learn to recognize letters and sounds, construct simple sentences, and engage in storytelling, encouraging creativity and verbal expression.
Numeracy
Early math concepts include number recognition, understanding patterns, and exploring basic addition through interactive games and hands-on materials. Problem-solving is integrated into activities to strengthen critical thinking.
Social and Emotional Development
Group activities help children build empathy, collaboration, and a sense of responsibility. Children are guided to navigate social situations and manage their emotions effectively, fostering confidence and independence.
Cognitive Development
Themed projects, role-playing, and experiments allow children to explore concepts and ask questions, enhancing their curiosity and understanding of the world. Structured activities encourage creative thinking and logical reasoning.
Fine and Gross Motor Skills
Motor skill development continues with activities like cutting with scissors, drawing, and crafting to refine hand-eye coordination. Physical play, such as obstacle courses and team games, improves balance, strength, and coordination.
